SIFM Awards Scholarship to a Student from St John’s University

Caldwell NJ — Sean Egan, president of the SIFM and partner in the New York Financial Service practice of KPMG, presented the SIFM 2021 Scholarship to Grace Alexander, a student at St. John’s University (New York).   

The SIFM Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship presented to a qualified student attending a top School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science who intends to seek a career in the insurance industry. 

Mr. Egan congratulated Ms. Alexander for her dedication to her studies in the Risk Management and Insurance program at St. John’s University.  Grace is in the Dean’s Distinguished Scholars Program as well as the Honors Program.  He also noted that she has solid work experience as an intern with Chubb, and Prudential for the last two summers.

Ms. Alexander is also active in campus organizations – she is a member and director of internal relations of Gamma Iota Sigma, vice president of the Actuarial Club, and the president of the St. John’s Indian Sub-Continent Student Organization.  For the last two years, she had participated in professional development programs with Marsh & McLennan, Zurich North America Case Study Day, and the Insurance Federation of New York Summer Program.
