Yelena monitors national and international economic indicators, on which she offers comment to financial press. She provides analyses of economic data and policy developments for the economics team, delivering presentations and written reports while working at the direction of noted labor economist and Federal Reserve advisor, Diane Swonk.

Yelena is a Certified Business Economist (CBE), a member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and a Financial Roundtable Co-Chair for NABE.

She earned her master’s degree in applied economics from Georgetown University and a bachelor of commerce degree with honors from the University of Manitoba where she majored in finance and international business.
