Ms. Burke has over 15 years of experience in the executive liability, cyber and technology E&O market. Laura is recognized as a thoughtful innovator with respect to comprehensive risk management products. She recently revamped the Canopius primary Cyber and Tech offering and is the national resource for broker relationship development and growth. Laura believes that Cyber insurance should be viewed as more than just a risk transfer mechanism and should truly be utilized to enhance one’s defenses against the ever-changing cyber threats through a wholistic approach.

Prior to Canopius, Ms. Burke served in numerous leadership roles on the brokerage side as well as serving as the national practice leader of cyber, technology, media and specialty professional indemnity at the world’s largest P&C insurer.

Ms. Burke earned a BS in psychology and Philosophy from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). She earned an MBA in finance, accounting, and strategic management from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Laura holds various designations including the CIPP/US, ARM and professional licensing.
