IFRS 17: Lessons Learned and Path Forward

Caldwell NJ — The now effective IFRS 17 represents one of the most significant changes to insurance accounting in decades, merging economical and actuarial views into accounting approaches, while diverging considerably from other accounting standards. Forvis Mazars experts will present their findings at the SIFM Annual Conference which will take place at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City from September 8 – 11.

Forvis Mazars experts Florie Bourrel-Heleine, Matthias Liermann and Abdoulaye Traore take a deep dive into the lessons of implementing this standard internationally. They also discuss the impacts on financial indicators and visible market consequences. By analyzing where the market is today, they venture to forecast the chances and challenges of refinement and optimization in the years to come.

The SIFM’s Annual Conference is a premier event that provides attendees with the opportunity to hear from key industry leaders and gain insights into the latest trends and changes in the insurance industry. The conference offers a unique platform for registrants to engage with experts and discuss various topics.  For more information, click here: SIFM Annual Conference 2024.
