The CFO’s Evolving Role: Leading Through Economic and Technological Challenges

Caldwell NJ — The role of the CFO has clearly evolved from focusing solely on financial matters to embracing a more dynamic leadership position.  The SIFM Annual Conference features a CFO Panel led by Yelena La Forgia of Aspen Insurance, bringing together CFOs to explore key issues crucial for every CFO. The conference will take place at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City from September 8 – 11.

La Forgia emphasized the shift in the CFO role:

Where we used to focus more on preparing and reporting on the numbers, it’s critical that we have a seat at the table with the business and truly understand their strategies and measures of success so that as Finance leadership teams, we can help drive that agenda forward and lead the change.

The panel, featuring Mark Cloutier from GBU Financial Life, Entela Hana from Sompo International, Luke Kwiatkowski from Holborn Corp, and Brian Schleider from Great Bay Insurance, will explore:

  • The impact of economic and market conditions on financial strategy and forecasting
  • The importance of data security and technology investments in driving financial transformation
  • The rise of shared service models

The SIFM’s Annual Conference is a premier event that provides attendees with the opportunity to hear from key industry leaders and gain insights into the latest trends and changes in the insurance industry. The conference offers a unique platform for registrants to engage with experts and discuss various topics.  For more information, click here: SIFM Annual Conference 2024.
