Caldwell NJ — Dear Members, Sponsors and Colleagues:
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for SIFM! I’m looking forward to celebrating with you on December 5th at our Holiday Conference and Reception. I am energized by our achievements this year with membership growth of over 50 new members and conference attendance exceeding the pre-pandemic numbers. Additionally, we elected and installed new members of the Board and PAC Leadership.
New initiatives for 2025, like the Associate Membership and the Young Professionals events, are fantastic ways to engage newcomers and foster connections within the industry. The Women of SIFM’s focus on Board Readiness and Clifton Strengths are wonderful initiatives to empower members.
Associate Membership. For those new in the industry, this is a chance to meet colleagues from other companies as well as mingle with executives from those companies. What is required? A potential associate member has less than 5 years in the industry and is under age 30. The membership price is $100 annually and the cost for the quarterly conferences is $100. The Annual Conference is not included.
Young Professionals. The new Steering Committee Chair, Matt Williams, has committed to quarterly mix and mingle events with the first one on January 23rd. Watch for the Save the Date announcement.
Women of SIFM. The new Steering Committee Chair, Florie Bourrel-Heleine, is offering two intriguing meetings, one Board Readiness (February) and another with Clifton Strengths (April). If you have ever thought about serving on the board for a company or nonprofit, this is your opportunity to discover what is involved. And the Clifton Strengths program will help you understand your individual strengths that will enable your success.
Geographic Expansion. One of our strategic goals is to expand geographically with additional programs in the Philadelphia and Connecticut areas.
Partnership. The successful Charity Black Tie Ball was held in partnership with the NY Chapter of Chartered Accounts, and we are planning to continue our participation in this event. And we are planning others.
Did you know if you joined the SIFM for the December conference your membership will extend for 5 quarters to the end of 2025?
Watch for upcoming events and conferences — most will be open for registration in January. And plan to celebrate the 66th anniversary of SIFM with your colleagues.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the President’s Advisory Council, I would like to wish you a holiday season filled with joy and good cheer as well as a new year filled with success. I am looking forward to seeing each of you in 2025.
Warm regards,
Yelena La Forgia
